Inspirational Walking Challenge

Inspirational Walking Challenge

Hope and pray that all goes well at your end by grace of god!

During these pandemic situations, common men having numerous problems which need constant corrections to match and meet the “new normal”.

As we have seen UAE has been extending the best possible assistance for every traveller landing into the country in general and residents of UAE in particular.

In addition to adherence of health guidelines, receiving vaccines and maintenance of safe distance in public spaces, individuals are being more responsible now a days.  Keeping healthy living is a real cause and effort are essential.

Being an expatriate in UAE, I have been spending time with parents back home only during the annual vacation.  Due to COVID-19 situation, flights are restricted and hence vacation is being postponed for second time.  Missing the friends and family back home is a but painful; but being alive is more important at such unforeseen conditions than feeling sad.

Getting rid of such a trauma needed a longer thought.  While discussing with old school mates who were spread over different countries across the globe, a simple idea of “walking in groups while we are at distance” was evolved.  Our whatsapp group had been relaying messages to all members who were about 60 in numbers.  Everyone appreciated and participated in this program when we started it during September 2020.  Every day we put a target of at least 2 kilometers and decoded to update the proof of tracking by means of health app (samsung health / pedometer) within our Whatsap group.  Everyone participated actively and has been continuing till date.

Myself Pradeep walking from Sharjah,
Sunimol from Ireland, Reni from USA, Reena from UK, Uthaman from Bahrain, Arun from Mumbai, Siby from Bangalore, Biju, Syam, Sanob, Sajeev, Kala, Aswathi, Rekha, Honey, Manoj, Krishna from Chottanikkara are walking inspirationally to be healthy and motivating many others.

Below are some updates.
