അപ്രിയസത്യങ്ങൾ പറയാതിരിക്കുന്നതാണ് അഭികാമ്യമെന്ന് പലപ്പോഴും കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട് എങ്കിലും സത്യം പറയാതിരിക്കുകയും എന്നാൽ നുണ പറയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന തമ്മിലുള്ള വൈരുധ്യത്തെ തിരിച്ചറിയണം. സത്യം വ്യക്തമായി അവതരിപ്പിച്ചാലുണ്ടാവുന്ന ദൂരവ്യാപകമായ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ പിടിച്ച് സത്യം പറയാതിരുന്ന് അതുമൂലമുണ്ടാകുന്ന തെറ്റിദ്ധാരണകൾ എത്രമാത്രം വലുതാണെന്ന് പറയാതെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഓർക്കില്ല. എന്നാൽ സത്യം മറച്ചുവെച്ച് നുണ പറഞ്ഞ് എത്രകാലം പുകമറയിൽ നിർത്താൻ പറ്റും എന്ന് നമുക്ക് ആലോചിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കില്ല. രണ്ടും ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന ഭവിഷ്യത്തുകൾ രണ്ടു രീതിയിലെ ദോഷങ്ങളും.
